About

Bob is a founding partner of Sims, Lawrence & Broghammer, with a diverse litigation practice focused on insurance defense, including personal injury, habitability, and construction defect cases. He represents a wide range of clients, from individuals to businesses, such as store owners, drivers, contractors, and nonprofits, handling general liability and construction-related claims.

His extensive trial and arbitration experience covers disputes involving neighbor conflicts, automobile accidents, and construction projects, ranging from single-family homes to large-scale developments, like housing tracts, multi-family residences, and hotels.

Bob earned his degree from San Jose State University and began his career in claims at CNA, Farmers, and Zurich, progressing through roles such as claims representative, examiner, and manager. After obtaining his Juris Doctorate, he transitioned to staff counsel at Travelers, where he managed a varied defense practice and founded the Construction Defect practice group in the Sacramento office. He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts.

Residing in Loomis, California, Bob shares his home with his dog, Meera, who serves as SLB’s Assistant Chief of Security for Internal Affairs. He is actively involved in his community as a tournament director for the Granite Bay FC Ghost & Goals soccer tournament. A proud father of three daughters, all University of Arkansas graduates, Bob enjoys off-roading and relaxing at his cabin near Oark, Arkansas. Originally from Arkansas, he remains a devoted Razorback fan, cheering “Woo Pig Sooie!”
