About

Eric joined Sims, Lawrence & Broghammer in 2026, focusing primarily on defending Human Service Industry clients.  Before joining the firm, Eric spent fifteen years working at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, where he served as a career law clerk to the Honorable Edmund F. Brennan and Honorable Jeremy D. Peterson.

While working at the federal court, Eric gained valuable experience analyzing complex legal issues in a variety of civil matters, including cases brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.  As a result of his tenure with the court, Eric has gained proficiency in assessing the complexities of federal procedural matters and all aspects of civil discovery.

Eric has resided in the Sacramento area for nearly forty years.  When not at the office, Eric enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his wife and their three children.
