About
Laura joins Sims, Lawrence, and Broghammer with extensive litigation experience. Laura acted as managing partner at BPE Law Group, overseeing the firm’s real estate and business litigation practice. There, Laura leveraged her real estate expertise to represent clients in disputes involving partnerships, easements, boundary lines, quiet title actions, partitions, nondisclosure, financial elder abuse, fraud, bankruptcy, and administrative matters, as well as presenting frequently in real estate seminars and classes.
Her current practice predominantly focuses on personal injury litigation and defending the Human Service Industry.
Laura was attracted to the legal profession by two key considerations. First, by her compassionate motivation to help others, a sentiment evident in her enjoyment of trial work, where she can channel her determination to see fairness and justice implemented for her clients in the courtroom. And second, by her love of literature and written language, from which she draws daily to draft effective and compelling court briefs.
Balancing her clear passion for effective litigation, Laura is also highly skilled in alternative dispute resolution, exercising discernment as to when going to trial is appropriate and when utilizing creative solutions will obtain the best results for her client’s goals.
