Mr. Costa has been practicing for nearly 40 years focusing on General Civil litigation in the Central and Northern California areas. He has tried more than 50 civil cases to a jury verdict in numerous State and Federal Courts on a variety of subjects including personal injury, product liability, property damage, contracts, labor and employment, consumer remedies, breach of fiduciary relations including abuse, toxic torts, and environmental law. He has also tried countless cases to the court and through binding arbitration.

 Mr. Costa is admitted to practice before all the Superior Courts of the State of California, the United States Eastern, Northern and Central Districts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the State of California. He has also acted as a Superior Court Pro Tempore Judge in Sacramento, El Dorado and Placer Counties and has periodically acted as a mediator and an arbitrator since 1993.

 Mr. Costa has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) since 2003 and achieved AV Preeminent Rating Martindale Hubble since 1995. He has also been affiliated with the Northern California Super Lawyers since 2012 and the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court since 2010. Mr. Costa has also maintained membership in the California State Bar Association and the Sacramento County Bar Association since 1983, as well as the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel since 1986.
